Leveling the Playing Field in Your Game of Work

In my Energy business I help individuals bring awareness to their own unique Intuitive Gifts and Personal Power and then integrate these qualities into their weekly Game of Work. I call it the Game of Work because if you think about it, a career or job is much like a competition. We are on a company team with co-workers who we compete with or against; we can choose to get ahead in our career or we fall behind the pack; there are strategies for accomplishing goals, production or services we are expected to achieve and at the end of the week if we’ve done well, we are awarded a prize known as a paycheck.
Walking into a new career setting or place of employment can be a bit intimidating no matter how well you interviewed and then landed the position. This is why it’s vitally important to know what intuitive gifts and personal power you bring to this new adventure and can integrate. How well you react to others in the Game of Work can make a huge difference both at the office and in your personal life.

A great way to help level the playing field is learning everyone’s birth date.
When starting a new job or position do you allow yourself the grace to learn and make mistakes or do you self-sabotage and blame yourself for not getting it perfect? Do you observe your fellow job players and create a winning strategy for working together? Do you stand your ground in a confrontation or resort to apologizing in an effort to dissuade the energy? How about a compliment? Do you give compliments honestly and also graciously accept them or do you belittle your accomplishments?
If the company you’re starting employment with has done any type of personality tests, they have settled in to some sort of routine and rhythm working together and are aware of one another’s personality strengths and weaknesses. A great way to help level the playing field is learning everyone’s birth date and taking the time to learn some of the basics about the 12 Zodiac signs, its ruling planet and the element associated with each. The first zodiacal signs originated in Babylonian (“Chaldean”) astronomy during the first half of the 1st millennium BC and can still be applied today.

Take for instance you are born under the sign of Aries whose element is fire. As an Aries you gravitate to leadership positions, whether working for yourself or someone else. You can be determined and honest but placed in a crucial situation; your impatient, short-tempered traits can present themselves. Your supervisor is born under the sign of Pisces, a water element, and is intuitive, compassionate and sometimes indecisive. In that same crucial situation, your supervisor can be overwhelmed or fearful of your response and as a Pisces, definitely dislikes a know-it-all. How well do you think this office interaction will play out?
Another example would be a co-worker/team player who is born under the sign of Aquarius and the air element. The strengths of this amazing sign can be forward thinking, an innovator and independent. Their ruling planet is Uranus, which resonates timid, abrupt, and sometimes an aggressive nature. The planet influence also gives an Aquarius their visionary quality. So as a new hire asking repeated questions, receiving an abrupt response can be unnerving. It’s up to you to be aware and familiar with the Zodiac signs and not take the exchange personally.
Every office tends to have at least one Earth person whether it is a Capricorn, Taurus or Virgo. These players are the ones who are usually willing to help, tend to be loyal and sometimes very devoted to the company. They are the ones who will take the time to answer your questions and make you feel part of the team. The key is not to take advantage of them lest the grounding Earth element can resonate as stubbornness or a critical response.
Starting a new job, career or wanting to better understand your long-time teammates can be a challenge or a welcome adventure. The key is to know yourself, your Personal Power and how you honestly react to both positive and negative situations at the Game of Work. Having a little insight in to your co-workers/teammates via the Zodiac signs makes winning the game so much easier and a lot more fun.

I realize there are numerous factors that come together and inspire us to create our own reality and lives. Genetics, family of origin, ethnicity, gender programming, body shape, time of birth and phases of the Moon to name a few. But most people resonate with the date of their birth and tend to be influenced by the planet and element associated with it.
