Our Energy Bodies And Surgery

Client privacy is of utmost importance and I, like most professional energy workers, follow the strict guidelines of client/practitioner confidentiality. With permission, I’m sharing the following experiences performing healing work on two clients and my husband. I was but one piece of their healing journey. Their personal healing beliefs, pre-surgery health, confidence in their surgeon, medical staff and hospital, prescription compatibility, physical therapy follow through and self-care were all important contributing factors to their individual recovery.

I was asked post-surgery to perform healing work for a new knee replacement patient. Surgery was performed by a gifted and trained surgeon and medical staff in a new state-of-the-art-facility and all went well. In the patient’s room, I placed my hands above the incision area and began sending healing energy. After several minutes I got a sense of “My knee, where’s my knee?” Surprised I opened my eyes and looking up to my client, saw him relaxed, resting comfortably in the lounger. I resumed sending healing energy and again I got a sense “Where is my knee?” As an attuned Reiki healer since 2003, I realized it was his body grieving the loss of its knee, so the third time I sensed “where is my knee” I knew what to do to provide the healing peace his energy body needed.

“It only made sense his body would grieve the loss.”

Sound crazy to have a body inquiring about itself after surgery? In humans, the patella, also known as kneecap, is the largest sesamoid bone in the body. Babies are born with a patella of soft cartilage that begins to ossify into bone at about three years of age. This means my client’s knee had been part of his body for 76+ years. It only made sense his body would grieve the loss.

Another client had booked an energy session prior to his surgery to balance his chakras, auric field and energy body in preparation of the upcoming event. Surgery was also performed by a gifted and trained surgeon and medical staff in a new state-of-the-art-facility. The procedure went extremely well, though the surgery took longer than anticipated due to the 40+ years of deterioration following an old high school football injury.

“Ninth grade physics teaches us that everything is energy vibrating at different speeds creating matter or our reality.”

Post-surgery, I placed my hands above the incision area and began sending healing energy. This time I sensed his body’s vibrational system trying to energetically align with the new cobalt metal replacement. Ninth grade physics teaches us that everything is energy vibrating at different speeds creating matter or our reality, so it was fascinating sensing the two different vibrations coming together.

My husband was scheduled for a long-overdue surgery to repair something that had been with most of his life. Again the surgery was performed by a gifted and trained surgeon and medical staff in a state-of-the-art-facility; this time with the new minimally invasive robotic technology system. With the robotic system, actual surgery length, patient recovery and their healing journey require less time. However, due to the extent of his repair, my husband’s surgery took longer than anticipated.

I performed energy work on him before his surgery and after the procedure in his hospital room. Several days into my husband’s recovery, he was having a very restless, painful night so I placed my hands directly on his abdomen and began sending healing energy. Immediately I sensed images of the actual surgery. Although the procedure was needed and he was prepared energetically, his body was holding on to the memory of the event. It was captivating to See as a Healer. I helped him release the vibration, closed his auric field and he then rested comfortably. He continued to complete his healing journey the next couple of days and feels great.

“After all, we are mind, body and spirit…vibrational energy having a physical experience.”

Just as we now make appointments with a medical professional for medical issues, a chiropractor for a skeletal realignment, physical therapist for a physical challenge, rolfer or massage therapist for a fascia/muscle release, or occupational therapist for re-engagement in to daily activities, someday it will be commonplace to visit a Professional Energy Worker for restorative energy balancing. While energy healing has been on the scene for centuries as a non-invasive, natural treatment, it is now coming in to the awareness and acceptance of the general population. After all, we are mind, body and spirit…vibrational energy having a physical experience.
